About

About.

Hi, I'm Ian, a student at Tulane University studying Cell & Molecular Biology.

01 · Biography

Ian Suh standing in a garden

I've always been curious about how things work, whether that's medicine, history, or technology. I like taking on new challenges, and I enjoy working on things that actually help people.

Outside of academics, I enjoy hiking, photography, swimming, reading, and exploring new places. I believe some of the best learning happens beyond the classroom through conversations, experiences, and a willingness to try something unfamiliar.

02 · My Philosophy

I believe that almost anything is possible when you're willing to dedicate yourself fully to it. Some goals may take years, others may change along the way, but I don't believe they should be limited simply because they seem ambitious.

You only have one life, so why not make the most of it? I'd rather pursue ideas that challenge me, explore interests that push me outside my comfort zone, and attempt something difficult than wonder years later what might have happened if I had tried.

To me, success isn't about following a predetermined path. It's about staying curious, continuing to learn, and building a life filled with meaningful experiences, meaningful relationships, and meaningful work.

During high school, I founded Medical Helpers Club, served as Electrical Lead for the robotics team, competed in varsity swimming and water polo, and developed many of the interests that continue to shape my education today.

04 · Beyond the Classroom

Some of my favorite experiences have come from pursuing interests outside of school. Whether I'm traveling to a new country, hiking through a national park, reading about history, photographing architecture, or building a new project, I'm always looking for opportunities to learn something new. I enjoy exploring a wide range of interests because I believe every new experience offers a different perspective on the world and often leads to unexpected ideas and connections.
